TVS has launched the updated Jupiter 125 DT SXC at Rs 88,942. Currently, the Jupiter 125 is available at a starting price of Rs 80,740 for the Drum – Alloy variant. This scooter is now available in 4 variants, with the top-end SmartXconnect variant costing Rs 92,001.

This variant is identical to other variants in terms of design and performance

This new variant commands a Rs 3,500 increase over the mid-spec Disc variant and introduces new features such as a colour LCD that is Bluetooth compatible and features turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, this variant also gets two new dual-tone colors (Ivory Brown and Ivory Grey) but remains otherwise unchanged. It continues to be powered by the same 124cc engine that produces a peak output of 8.5hp (With assist) at 6,500rpm and 11.1Nm (with assist) at 4,500rpm.

In terms of suspension it continues to get a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It tips the scales at 108kg and has a ground clearance of 163mm. The Jupiter also features 33 litres of underseat storage and 2 litres of additional storage at the front. Currently this variant sits at the upper mid tier in TVS’s Jupiter lineup and costs Rs 3,000 less than the range topping SmartXconnect variant. The Jupiter 125 rivals the likes of the Suzuki Access 125, Hero Destini 125, Honda Activa 125 and the Yamaha Fascino.
