
The MG Comet line-up has been updated for 2025 with a few feature upgrades, except for the entry-level Executive variant. Consequently, the prices of the most affordable MG car have increased by up to 27,000 depending on the variant. There are no mechanical changes.

2025 MG Comet new features
4 speakers in top-spec Exclusive trim
Features like a rear parking camera and electrically-folding ORVMs, previously reserved for the range-topping Comet Exclusive variant, have now been introduced in the mid-spec Excite trim. As for the Exclusive trim, fabric seat upholstery and a two-speaker sound system have been replaced by premium leatherette seats and a four-speaker setup.
Other features like dual 10.25-inch screens: driver’s display and touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and keyless entry will continue to be offered.
2025 MG Comet EV specs and range
42hp-motor; 230 range
The Comet EV comes with a rear motor that generates 42hp and 110Nm of peak torque. This motor sources power from a 17.3kWh lithium-ion battery, which allows it a claimed range of 230km on the MIDC cycle.
Charging
MG Motor India recently introduced a 7.4kW AC charger with the Comet Exclusive and Excite trims, which takes 3.5 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent. The same is doubled at 7 hours with a 3.3kW AC charger for other variants.

Buyers can also opt for a more affordable battery as a service (BaaS) program, which essentially is a battery rental scheme. Rs 2.5 is charged for every kilometre under MG’s BaaS scheme, and the price of the vehicle starts from Rs 5 lakh (see table below).
