Hyundai i20 automatic is now Rs 58,000 cheaper

The Hyundai i20 automatic is now Rs 58,000 more affordable as the Korean brand has introduced the CVT automatic on the second-from-bottom Magna variant. Hyundai has also launched the i20 Magna Executive at a lower price point than the Magna, and added more features to the higher-spec Sportz (O) variant.

Magna CVT gets sunroof over Magna MT variant

The CVT automatic gearbox option for the Hyundai i20 was previously available from the higher-spec Sportz variant (Rs 9.46 lakh) onwards. With the introduction of the Magna CVT, prices for the i20 automatic are now Rs 58,000 lower. In addition to the features available on the Magna manual variant, the automatic also gets a sunroof.

Hyundai i20 Magna Executive launched

Same features as Magna MT variant

Only available with the 5-speed manual gearbox, the i20 Magna Executive costs Rs 27,000 lower than the Magna MT variant. Despite the difference in price, the new variant has the same features list as the i20 Magna, as Hyundai is looking to make the premium hatchback more accessible. As Tarun Garg, Hyundai India’s COO, says, “With the launch of the Magna Executive variant, we aim to make the i20 experience even more accessible and desirable for customers.”

Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) price and features

Keyless entry, a voice-enabled sunroof, and 7-speaker Bose system added to Sportz (O)

Hyundai has also taken the opportunity to introduce more features in the i20 Sportz(O) variant. With kit such as keyless entry and go, a voice-enabled sunroof, and a 7-speaker audio system, prices for the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) have increased by up to Rs 26,000.

Further, the Korean brand is offering a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen – with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay – and a rear camera as optional extras for the entire i20 range. These accessories are priced at Rs 14,999 and come with a 3-year warranty.
